Castlewood County Service Area
A County Service Area is a mechanism to authorize and fund specific extended services, i.e. services beyond that which the County generally provides. The Castlewood County Service Area (CSA R67-1) consists of 587 acres located southwesterly of the City of Pleasanton in the unincorporated area of Alameda County. It was established in 1968 for the purpose of providing improvement, maintenance, and drainage of the private roads within Castlewood. In 1979, sewer and water service were added to the CSA. The Castlewood CSA’s boundaries encompass The Club at Castlewood, including the two 18-hole golf courses, and over 200 homes.
There are many homes within the CSA that are not members of the CPOA as the Castlewood CSA and CPOA boundaries are not coincident. It is also the case that not all the homes within the CSA receive the same services, see links below to view parcel services maps.
